OFFICE AND WAREHOUSE FIT OUT – NORMANTON

BELL Lighting was established in 1920 and has grown to become a leading manufacturer and supplier of quality light sources and fixtures to the electrical wholesale industry. 

After a 3-way competitive tender process, Cleckheaton Construction were the successful building contractor chosen to manage the complete refurbishment of Bell Lighting’s warehouses and offices. Works included:

Roof repairs  

Roof leak repairs, treating cut edge erosions, cleaning out all gutters and downpipes, replacing roof lights, cleaning the roof, flashings and cappings. Test and certify of man safe system.

External elevations and areas

Clean and re-lamp external light fittings, replacement of all damaged and dented cladding panels, sills and flashings. Preparation and decoration of all previously painted external services. Jet washing and cleaning all surfaces including concrete service yard and drainage areas. . Tarmac works in car park and paved areas, decoration of wheel guides, level access doors, levellers, frames, bollards and gates.  

Warehouse interior

Removal of racking, mezzanines, dividing walls and redundant external fire escape. Isolating and removing gas fitted heaters. Replace impact damaged and dislodged brickwork to perimeter walls, rake out failed sealant to movement joints and service doors. Redecoration of all previously painted surfaces. Strip off all isolated floor paint and markings.  

Offices and Mezzanine

Removal of all tenant fixtures, fittings and partitions, overhaul and repair external windows, replace and treat of all suspended ceiling tiles and floor tiles , replace all light fittings with new LED lights, repair all internal doors and redecorate throughout. New glazed office partitioning, forming 2 offices, boardroom, canteen, male and female changing rooms with shower enclosures and mezzanine areas.

Toilets to ground floor and first floor levels  

Removal of all tenant fixtures and fittings. Overhaul and repair external windows and replace damaged sill boards, replace all suspended ceiling tiles. Replace light fittings with new LED fittings,  clean all grilles and ductwork to mechanical ventilation system. Overhaul and repair all internal doors and ironmongery. IPS, Washrooms, vanity units, tops, basins and urinals and professionally clean all sanitaryware.

Electrical, gas installations and commissioning

Undertake full test of all electrical installations, all gas systems commissioned to gas compliance regulations. Undertake risk assessment and provide water chlorination certificate for water installations. Recommission fire alarm system, full service for list with validation report.
